Shopping Guide: Maria Claire Interiors

Whenever I decorate a client’s home I always make sure to include nostalgic and sentimental pieces. Sometimes they are inherited family heirlooms and other times JBT Designs goes on a treasure hunt for new purchases that will provide all the right feels. Over the years I have amassed a list of amazing boutiques and shops, both online and brick & mortar, that sell those special final touches and conversational elements. Maria Claire’s weekly Instagram shop @mariaclaireinteriors, has an array of vintage products that range from beautifully framed intaglios to glass and sterling silver coasters.

When I spoke with Maria Claire about her love of vintage home goods, stemming from when she was a child, she gave these wise tips:
When looking for a piece to bring in some nostalgia, be sure it serves another purpose as well. Look for the design elements that you are trying to fulfill in your space- whether it is the need for a specific color or texture- and use that as your driving force.
If you love it, buy it and use or display it. There’s nothing worse than buying something with sentimental value only to tuck it away. (A JBT hack: use your beautiful coasters as jewelry holders on your vanity.)
How to shop @mariaclaire’s Instagram shop:
Look out for the date and time of the weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly) sales in her Instagram stories.
Comment, “Mine” to purchase.
Direct message Maria Claire with your email and zip code.
If you weren’t the first to comment “Mine,” you still have a chance to purchase it if the sale falls through- comment “NEXT” or “BACKUP” for next in line.
Invoices are generated through PayPal and ARE DUE 12 HOURS upon receiving. You don’t need a PayPal account to pay a PayPal invoice, credit and debit cards are accepted. Invoices are sent the same night or next day. If not paid AND OR email and zip code is not sent after comment, it will go to the next comment or backup. Please make sure address in your PayPal account is correct. All sales final.
